Hunters and wetlands: Action!FDC Charente-Maritime

Hydraulic management for the improvement of wetlands in order to increase the land availibility for birds. La cabane des Moins is used to host visitors and students in order to raise awareness about wetland species and habitat. They also manage the network in order to control the water level in different areas and favor different species. As a result, there are 221 bird species in the area. The area is also managed for visitors in order to avoid negative impacts on the habitat and the species. The hunters conducted several activities: census, ringing programs, control of invasive species as the coypu (Myocastor coypus).
