Title of the project
Monitoring of water birds
Monitoring of water birds.
Ongoing research where there is a monitoring of the populations variations during years, the long-term trends and the breeding success.
The population estimation are based on pair counting during May while the estimation for breeding success are based on broods’ countings in June-July.
Results are used for possible management actions on bird species. They will also bring an estimation of the ducks’ populations and their breeding success. Hunting quotas or derogations setting will be based on the analysis of those studies.
