Title of the project
Study of the landscape fragmentation in the Orne
Description
The Department of Orne, with 100,000 hectares of forest land spread over several large areas, has suffered, due to new road infrastructure, from a fragmentation of its territory preventing the natural movement of large fauna between forest areas.
To highlight these problems, the Hunters Federation of Orne, together with the Hunters Federation of Sarthe, “the Office National des Forêts” and the “Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage”, commissioned a study from the OGE firm.
This study has been integrated into the Regional Ecological Coherence Scheme and the Departmental Game Management Scheme.
