Title of the project
Abandoned Mont l’Evêque railway became a wildlife corridor
Description

The Mont l’Evêque site is an old abandoned railway line. Foundation pour la protection des habitats and the Fédération des chasseurs de l’Oise acquired this railway line in 1994. Since then thanks to planting trees, the line has become a true green corridor. The rails were removed. Trees were planted to create this green corridor that is beneficial for many different fauna species.
The Federation has now been maintaining this site for 20 years. This green corridor is playing an important role for many bird, mammal, reptile and insect species.
