Title of the project
Exploring the genetic biodiversity of Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) populations in the Centre-Val de Loire Region
Description

The objective of the IBIG Cerf applied research project is to highlight the genetic exchanges between different populations of red deer (Cervus elaphus) in the Centre-Val de Loire region, and to identify whether the infrastructural developments carried out (motorways, fences, buildings near forests) put a brake on the genetic flow.
Scientific team: Marc COLYN, (CNRS Paimpont), Xavier LEGENDRE (MNHN), Marie-Christine FLAMAND AND Jérôme PRUNIER (Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium).
