Title of the project
Follow-up inspection of the rabies vaccination
Description
While Foxes and Raccon Dogs have been hunted or killed in traffic, hunters gather their heads and blood samples and send them to the local veterinary board to contribute to rabies control.
Results
Estonia has been a rabies-free country (since 2014), the project has been hugely successful and the hunters continue to participate every year to make sure that the disease isn't reintroduced to our country from neighbouring countries that still have rabies.
