The Hunters Federation of Côtes d’Armor studies the wintering numbers of woodcock by carrying out ringing operations around the edges of the department’s forest massifs.

Every winter, the Federation organizes 3 days of counting on the massifs of the region and the coastal area and lake shores: the Beffou forest, the Avaugour-Bois-Meur massif and Lann Ar Waremme.

This makes it possible to monitor the evolution of wintering woodcock populations in these 2 hunting reserves each year.
