In order to restore local pheasant populations, the Hunt Society of Saint-Ouen-de-Mimbré released 120 wild animals from the Rambouillet farms. The Hunters Federation of  Sarthe has financed 50% of the initiative of the Hunting Society. To allow reproduction to take place, pheasant hunting will be closed for 5 years to then set up a reasoned hunt with a quota.

The population will be monitored annually by counting the crowing cocks.
