In 1983, the hunting federation bought this area in order to create a place where they compromise hunting and conservation. The reserve hosts 6000 wintering birds and 1500 visitors. There is an annual grazing and mowing conducted with farmers collaboration. Furthermore, from the first November to the 15th of March, the different associations permanently watch over the area.
