March 5, 2017 FACE

Preservation and development of valuable wildlife habitats. For this purpose, land was purchased or leased. Management and development plans were made for the respective surfaces according to the need for habitat restoration actions and biotope support.

The implementation of the plans is done with significant help of the local hunting community through volunteer labor. So far 288 hectares were purchased from the initiative PRONATUR these are summarized into 38 PRONATUR project areas. These areas (located in 12 different counties) are taken care of entirely by the local hunter communities (Kreisjägerschaften) on a voluntary basis.

The areas are complete conservation areas and serve as a resting area for wild animals.
