To protect and develop natural and socio-political conditions necessary for the maintenance and the return of large predators to the areas of their original existence in the Czech Republic Organisation of a widespread awareness campaign including discussion forums in villages, school education programs and information material distribution;
Organisation of anti-poaching wolf patrols and the payment of 50,000 Czech crowns for information on poaching; Involvement in decision-making processes to promote the maintenance of important migration corridors and suggest the functional solutions for their restoration. Development of a management plan and a website for large carnivore mangement in the Czech Republic; Signed an agreement with Czech Hunters Association on cooperation in large carnivore conservation.
Organized several discussion forums for hunters in 2007 and released scientific publication aimed at hunter and forest managers. Worked with hunters to monitor prey killed by lynx or wolves. Organized a Central European wolf conference with participants from Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Germany The Czech Hunters’ Association signed an agreement with Friends Of The Earth Czech Republic to cooperate on large carnivore conservation.
