Radioactivité Caesium 137 radioactivity in chest muscles of Woodcocks (Scolopax rusticola) that have been killed in Italy after Tchernobyl catastrophe (1986)

Because of the risk of contamineted meat by the radioactive fall out (Cs 137), this project was important for the public health and for hunters in particular. From all reagion in Italy, hunters contributed to provide the University of Genoa with chest muscles samples from their preys. Club della Beccaccia also offered an economic support.
