Concerned about maintaining the grey partridge (Perdix perdix) in the department, the Hunters’ Federation of Eure-et-Loir created a conservatory for this species in 2017. The aim of this project is to enable the most deprived areas to be repopulated with partridges from the natural strains of the Eure-et-Loir.

To carry out this project, the Hunters’ Federation is calling on farmers and hunters to mobilize in order to safeguard nests discovered or abandoned during agricultural work or land maintenance.

The eggs recovered will hatch under dwarf hens to form the strain of breeding birds of the conservatory. For this purpose, the Hunters’ Federation has opened a dedicated telephone number that can be reached 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
