Improvement of knowledge on colombids in the Côtes d’Armor

Every spring, technicians from the Hunters Federation of Côtes d’Armor monitor the reproduction of wood pigeons, columbine pigeons and turtledoves by banding them, and mapping and making a census of nests. The Federation is also in charge of 6 of the 16 ACT circuits in the department.

This ONCFS protocol specifies the demographic trends of French breeding populations since 1996 and wintering 20 species since 2000. The counts are carried out twice a year on each circuit, in spring and winter
